Another factor to consider was the UC Berkeley staff had so many problems and issues with the student body during the 60's and the early 70's that it was ultimately their decision not to allow the Dead to perform on-campus again until 1981.

The same mindset was cemented across the Bay in Palo Alto after the February 9th 1973 event.
